Bringing nutritious food to everyone is a healthy idea.

A nutritious meal is not always guaranteed, even in a healthy community like ours. That’s why CACF’s Community Endowment Fund was proud to make a gift of $100,000 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. This significant gift from CACF’s Community Endowment Fund purchased the truck to launch the innovative Mobile Food Pantry initiative. Those who receive food include the most vulnerable to our community – children, the elderly, the working poor, the disabled and the homeless.
 
Today, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry provides hunger relief in rural areas that lack access to emergency food assistance. The refrigerated truck can deliver nutritious food to isolated areas to help ensure the health of families and contribute to the collective quality of life of our growing community.
