If you live in a rural community, finding a healthcare provider may often require a long drive that many people avoid or simply cannot afford. Nelson County Community Fund Co-Chair, Dr. Andrew Hodson, understood the importance of filing this void.
 
As a former practicing physician, Andrew brought his knowledge to his role on the advisory committee of the Nelson County Community Fund. Through CACF, the committee was able to provide a grant to support the mission of the Blue Ridge Medical Center. The BRMC has helped thousands avoid traveling many miles for healthcare, so they can find their medical assistance closer to home. Today, the health of the community is growing along with a growing medical center.
