- Jitasa Group is an international organization offering simple, flat rate accounting and bookkeeping services exclusively to nonprofits.
- Monfalcone & Garris PC is a local, Charlottesville-based accounting firm that offers IRS reporting services to nonprofits.
- Virginia Society of CPAs has several nonprofit resource guides and articles to strengthen your understanding and assess your nonprofit’s accounting needs.
- The Accountants of Color Directory can help you search for diverse CPAs, fractional CFOs, bookkeepers, and financial advisors from across the state and country.
Legal
- Charitable Allies specializes in legal services for non-profit organizations, and offers “low-bono” rates across the full spectrum of legal needs.
- The Community Organization and Social Enterprise Clinic at UVA Law assists startup community organizations and social enterprises to create and maintain a legal business structure.
- For Purpose Law Group has an office in Charlottesville and services Albemarle county organizations with consultations, guides, and insights on nonprofit law and compliance.
- The Nonprofit Clinic at UVA Law works with local nonprofit boards on a “legal health checkup” as well as other offerings.
- Pro Bono Clearing House from the Greater Richmond Bar Association can connect you to lawyers who are eager to provide free legal services to Virginia 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
- The Virginia State Bar and Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association can also assist with a search.

Movement Building
- Building Movement Project and their Solidarity Is program offer research, frameworks, tools, and training to facilitate social change and transformative solidarity practices.
- Movement Matters works to improve the infrastructure and capacity for movement-based community organizing, partnering with organizations and individuals to provide technical assistance, accompaniment, mentorship, and training, such as through their Organizing Institutes.
